wodtke Air Control - automatic thermoregulation of air for combustion
The wodtke Air Control system regulates the air supply to the combustion chamber to ensure an optimal combustion process. No need to use dampers or throttles. This greatly simplifies the use of the fireplace and prevents it from working incorrectly.
Thermal control Air Control consists of an air valve that connects to the temperature sensor through a capillary tube that provides hydraulic closing or opening of the valve. Thanks to Air Control, combustion air is supplied to the combustion chamber in the right place in the right amount. During the lighting of the fireplace, when the device is still cold, the fire requires a lot of primary air, which must be brought into the combustion zone through the lower grille. As the temperature increases, the oil expands in the temperature sensor and gradually closes the air damper, blocking the air duct of the primary air supply. After that, the air is supplied to the combustion zone in two ways: as secondary air in the middle zone of the combustion chamber and as an «air curtain» for blowingviewing glass. This AWS technology allows you to effectively prevent contamination of the glass in the fireplace.
Thermal module (optional)
Modern fireplaces should generate heat energy as quickly as possible and provide the desired comfort in the room. A necessary condition for this is the complex geometry of the combustion chamber and materials that guarantee optimal heat dissipation. Optimally placed convection holes in the fireplace ensure efficient use of energy and proper propagation of thermal radiation.
In addition, many fireplace users want to store and use heat for a longer period of time. The classic solution in this regard is talcum magnesite, from which the fireplace lining is made.
An innovation from Wodtke is the heat storage module for fireplaces. The massive storage unit absorbs heat from the combustion chamber and slowly distributes it back into the room as radiant heat. This solution ensures that you can enjoy the heat for several hours after the flame goes out.
HiClean-Filter® wodtke
The good news for CO2-neutral wood burning: a positive environmental balance is maintained by hiClean-Filter® technology from wodtke, which does not require any complex external additional installations.
Thanks to innovative filter materials and an improved air duct, emissions and fuel consumption are effectively reduced, efficiency and heat transfer are significantly increased. This means that the emission limit values are reduced as much as possible, and with almost zero emissions and the maximum possible energy efficiency, comfort is significantly increased. In order to continuously optimize the combustion process and reduce emissions, wodtke has developed another innovative HiClean filter in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics (HCF 02). The filtration system made with this new technology is maintenance-free, extremely durable and does not require additional electronics or a chemical catalyst. Like HCF 01, HCF 02 is optimally adapted to the appropriate combustion chamber, so that the most efficient technology is used depending on the geometry of the combustion chamber. The result: clean, improved combustion and emissions that are well below the legal requirements - good for the environment and good for people.
In case of using ambient air for combustion of the fireplace and operation in the house with recuperation, it is necessary to provide use of the differential pressure regulator wodtke DS01 which will guarantee safe operation of system in emergency situations (for example, return draft). DS 01L Wodtke controls the pressure difference in the combustion chamber or chimney during the operation of the fireplace in relation to the pressure in the room where the fireplace is installed. If the pressure difference drops below the minimum set value, the ventilation system is switched off. Monitoring of pressure drop occurs in case of increase in temperature of flue gases of a fireplace (the temperature sensor is included).
