Geberit Mapress systems are available in several versions:
Mapress Geberit stainless steel pipes
Geberit Mapress stainless steel is a high-quality supply system that can be used to transport a variety of media. In the manufacture of the system, Geberit adheres to the highest requirements for the quality and reliability of each element. For example, the high content of molybdenum provides extremely high corrosion resistance.
Using Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel:
Advantages:
The optimal composition of the alloy elements ensures high reliability of the material and system. This reliability is achieved through the factory standard Geberit, which exceeds the required standards. The molybdenum content in Geberit Mapress stainless steel pipes and fittings is at least 2.3%.
Coordinated components provide high strength system. Due to this, operation is possible at operating pressures of 2.5 MPa (25 bar) and above. Due to the high mechanical strength, many applications are possible that go beyond standard installation. A crimp indicator fitting system ensures that all connections are secure.
Extremely smooth surface - a prerequisite for increased reliability and durability of the system. To achieve optimal fluidity and a perfect fit of the seal ring, the welds are smoothed by additional machining. As a result, roughness values are achieved well below the required standards, which guarantees the tightness of the system.
Stainless steels react passively to drinking water due to a protective layer of chromium oxide. Thus, the Mapress stainless steel system (CrNiMo steel, material No. 1.4401 and CrMoTi steel, material No. 1.4521) is resistant to any type of drinking water and maintains high water quality. When using the Mapress system from stainless steel (1.4401 and 1.4521) all methods of chemical purification of water, such as, for example, ion exchange or the return osmosis are admissible. The Mapress stainless steel system (1.4401 and 1.4521) does not require additional corrosion protection during chemical water treatment.
Mapress Geberit carbon steel pipelines
The Geberit Mapress carbon steel system has been developed for systems where economy comes first. Geberit Mapress carbon steel pipes are available in two versions: with a polymer coating or with an external zinc coating. For special applications, Geberit Mapress pipes are also available with internal and external zinc coating.
Advantages
Crimping instead of welding or soldering. The crimping process is not only simple but also fast: it takes about 2 times less time than the welding or soldering process. The crimping process itself is quickly done manually: cutting to the required length, stripping, fitting installation, crimping - the connection is ready.

Thermally perfectly made welds. Especially in the area of the seal ring, the cleanliness of the weld is a decisive factor in creating a durable tightness of the system and reduce the risk of corrosion. Therefore, Geberit has the highest requirements for the quality of weld processing. Special heat treatment provides the necessary homogeneous structure of the material and, thus, optimal crimping.
Reliability due to the guide of crimping jaws. The well-defined guide of the carbon steel Geberit Mapress crimping jaws ensures that the crimping jaws are precisely installed in the right place and will not be able to slip or take the wrong position. This prevents improper crimping and ensures reliable and durable connections.
Mapress Geberit copper pipes
Geberit Mapress made of copper is very easy to press. The piping system can be assembled quickly and reliably without soldering.

Connections are made without an open flame. The strength and tightness of the press connection is ensured by the cold forming of the copper pipe and copper fittings Geberit Mapress. The system does not require the use of open flames and high temperatures, as during soldering. Therefore, no additional safety measures are required when performing reconstruction or repair work.
