The heating and cooling systems of the house are completely based on surface systems. Floor and wall surfaces can be used for both heating and cooling. The main heat generator at the facility is a geothermal heat pump. The combination of a heat pump with a low-temperature surface system guarantees maximum comfort and efficiency. Thanks to ground probes, a passive cooling system is used to cool the building. Fränkische pipes were used for the floor heating system, Uponor pipes for the walls.
